Our History

The owner and manager of Idaho Gifts to Go is Melonie Ziegler. Melonie has worked in a corporate environment for over 30 years and has two degrees; one in Civil Engineering Technology and bachelors in Accounting. She has successfully progressed in her career, advancing to challenging positions in management, budgeting and administrative operations. Most recently, serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Department of Commerce where she obtained her passion for promoting Idaho companies, products, resources and services. As the CFO at Commerce, Melonie created and managed up to a $40-million-dollar budget consisting of multiple divisions, funding sources, grants and projects. A testament to her business ethics, practices and leadership in her five-year tenure at Commerce, she maintained clean audits and managed costs within the legal requirements of the budget.

Melonie’s work ethic and values comes from being raised on a cattle ranch in central Idaho where work hours started as early as 4:00 a.m. She is creative, innovative, strategic and resourceful. Since her early teens Melonie has been the creative designer and event planner for many non-profits, organizations, projects and events. One of her most notable projects was for St. Joe’s Catholic School as the ‘art-mom’ where she drafted the plans, built and managed the ‘kid-art’ for a tiled top cedar barbeque cart that sold for $5,000. Melonie has built over a thousand gift baskets for many occasions, organizations and corporations. She prides herself in the quality of her work and will continue to produce quality in her new venture as the owner and manager of Idaho Gifts to Go.
